Symptoms
When you try to upload a file to Content Studio the error no 123 "File not open" is returned and the upload fails.
Cause
This error can occur if you try to upload a file that has a certain size and it only occurs on Content Studio 4.0 between build 1005 and 1010. Also the release of Content Studio 4.5 build 1011 is affected. The error is caused by bug in the upload component in Content Studio. This component uses a sophisticated algorithm that reads the file stream i chunks and saves the uploaded file to a temporary file on the server before saving it to Content Studio. If the file has a size that together that exactly ends with the start of a new chunk and there is form data located after the file in the stream this error occurs.
Resolution
Customers affected by this problem can try to change the size of the file by a few bytes or upgrade to version 4.5 build 1012 (released during the first quarter of 2006).
Status
This error has been identified and confirmed and will be fixed in Content Studio 4.5 build 1012.
